Which routing protocol do you like the most?

At the moment, I prefer EIGRP. It's easy to set up, converges almost instantly, only changes are propogated, uses multicast instead of broadcast, uses hello protocol, it's classless and supports VLSM, it uses a composit metric, it supports unequal-cost load balancing, supports a heirarchical design using AS numbers, it supports multiple protocols, and it scales well.

BGP. It's extremely simple in essence, but you can do pretty much whatever you want with it.

Internal - OSPF. Not proprietary. Works fine, lasts a long time...

External - BGP. Hands down...

OSPF - Same reason as above. Best option for Hybrid networks.

Good old RIP... When do you think support for it will be discontinued?

Never, I hope. It has its limitations but it wont hurt you like OSPF.

I have a funny feeling that your opinion will change and you will laugh at yourself for ever making that comment.

I was not refering to operation. What hurts is what you need to memorise with OSPF to pass the Routing exam.

I love the OSPF! Everything in a network is under your grip and absolutely a designer's choice all the time!! Lot concepts to play around.
