| Yes, much congratulations go out to you! What an effort this must have been.
I'm currently studying for the BCMSN exam and would really appreciate any tips or advice you might have. | |
|
| Thanx guys, sorry for my late reply, i was busy with my work as always
Well for CCNP i used Cisco Press books and went to one Cisco cours for one week for BCMSN Exam but it didnt really help me much, except if you have a good instructor ( the experience that i have helped me the most,).
clarkv, well for BCMSN i founded not so easy, if you have experience with switching you will do well, as i told you i used Cisco Press Books you have everything there. My tip is just study hard and you will get it :d
Good luck on your CCNP,

| Hi bro.Cong. be CCNP.ive a ques.about CIT(642-831)exam.U know there re 2 lab questions. One of them is wrong IMO...Which there re 3 routers( ex. Dallas,Houston & FortWorth) and 2 PCs.2pcs are direct connected with Houston&FortWorth.Dallas is serial connected with Houston&FortWorth.(Dallas is between them)No ping&telnet to Dallas from Houston&FortWorth. There re only show commands&no access to config mode.Houston&FortWorth are active,Dallas is no active. Is it possible to reach to Dallas to config it without telnet.Because config modes are locked on Houston&FortWorth.Could u give some trick? This is my last exam to be a CCNP.So im waiting for ur help.Thnks... | |

| hey mycisco2004, i can say about the CIT Exam that it was the easyest one.Yea i had that question, as of my knowledge about networking i don't think there is a way to connect to that router, cuz you have both links down, and you dont have the terminal to connect to the middle router (CO), i just skipped that question and wrote a comment, "that i dont see any other way connecting to it" but i passed the exam with pretty good score i think 900 i forgot it .
I founded easy because all the questions were that i worked at my job u know, to tell you the truth i just read the book one time.
If you worked with these things and have excperience dont worry about this exam.
Good luck,

| Congrats Artir, CCNP is one to be proud of. Good luck on CCIE! | |

| That simulation question you are talking about was one of the easier ones. It is possible, just gotta know what to do Can't say much but it IS possible, Cisco wouldn't keep it on their exam program if it was not possible dont you think? | |
|
| it's been long since i didnt check out the forum.
ejoa, how can you access the router B which the only way to do so is through telnet connection from the other router A. Now, the link betwene router A and B is down for some reason ( there is no backup or anything else), and on router A you can check only the config, you cant do anything else.
How would you access router B to fix the problem?
The only way to do so is from console connection or from a terminal which is connected to the router through the network( this is what thay forgot).
The question was similar to this but it is not the same one as in the exam.
I felt like i needed to reply to this

| Hi,
Regarding that simulation question. Try to restore connection via reload/reboot or copy start-up config to running config, or check out if there's hidden neighbor which has connection to the other router.... Or may be it is impossible to fix it.
Good luck to all | |

| Ref the scenario ques:
Just a thought. If there is problem with Network Layer...
What about trying the Phys / Data-Link Layers and using CDP to see if there is any kind of connection at all. Could be a change in IP address or hostname that hasn't been documented.
Stay Safe. | |
