Are anyone taking any time soon the 642-891 Composite to re-recertify. I will probably be taking this exam on July 09 2004. Not sure if studying 3 weeks is enough to pass this exam. We are are soon supporting customers using 6500 catalyst. Will appreciate any comments.

Hi,

I have to re-certify next February and as I've not touched a router for two years I'd planned to start studying this month and maybe take the exam in December/January (allowing one re-take if required) but I haven't got around to it yet.

I passed routing just before IS-IS came in and I don't fancy that at all! Especially as I'll never work with it so it'll be a complete waste of my time and energy to learn it.

Regards
Peter

On the company I work (backbone group) they use ISIS, so I guess will be interesting to learn how it works, its very similar to OSPF but more efficient. I got a switching book, Cisco Press, and are gonna practice with Boson version 5.44
