I have heard from a couple different people that the 2500 routers are fine for studied for the CCNP but in order to really get the full benefits from a home test lab you need to have at least a 2900XL switch.

I would like to get a little feedback from people have passed the BSCI exam and have only a 1900 switch in their test lab.

I don't have a lot of money to go out and buy a 2900 switch but a 1900 would be in my price range.

NOTE: I already have a 2524 and a 2501 router connected via each other and a DSL ROUTER.

I don't know that it's worth it with just one switch..It's nice to have two for VTP and trunking.

Since switching is just one test, when you are gearing up to take it, I would try to get access to someone with some switches.

that'll save you some money..

The more the better but 2 routers and a switch should be fine for most home test labs.
