Hi guys,

Specially traceroute and Yankee and darthfeces (my..."CCNP generation" so to say...)
I passed the recert exam Composite 642-891.
Thank-you for the suggestion to read the switching book by David Hucaby. It was good and useful.Very well writen. It has more hard-core technical material than in my actual exam, but is well worth a reading.
My exam was funny...to say the least...
Not very specific as command-lines go, but very wide as topics...
Almost like testing your wisdom and experience...the big picture...almost written for architects, not for analysts...
I felt like my experience (both the hands-on and design )helped me more than my book studies for this exam.
Very funny...from former postings I expected "tactical" questions (and boy was I nervous, because I'm quite rusty in some areas) , and I received mainly "strategical" ones.)
In short...my Composite 642-891 was very "CISSP-like".

Guess what I'll be doing next?
Directory Services...Exchange...maybe SQL
Full circle...(my MCSE is about 8 years old, I started there)
When you'll stop laughing...I can explain:
Because the business needs more generalists than sharp specialists.
And there's no financial glory in me building perfect networks when the troubles happen at the applications end.

Cheers
