Hey all,

OK, very wierd thing happened to me today and it is a problem that I can duplicate.

Using a Win XP computer and a Windows Shell to telnet first to a Solaris box and from there to a PIX firewall. When I paste any commands into the shell destined for the PIX it crashes my computer. I mean it literally just shuts my computer off. The logs have showed me absolutley nothing. I can type commands in to the term window and everything works fine. But I just can't "paste" to the PIX config - Anyone have any idea why this is?

could be the crappy telnet daemon
the paste could overwhelm the buffer
try unsing a different terminal app ...
hyperterm, teraterm etc
and see what happens

Try using a non-Microsoft operating system

I've always had great success with TeraTerm...And the part is it's free!
