I am very happy, I have scored 876/1000.
I find that the exam, at all, was not very difficult, because many questions in cisco test are similar to those in boson or testking. So the advice I can give you is to read 2 or 3 times your study guide (I have used ciscopress), train yourself very well with boson and testking test.

There were many question on isis, one NAT lab simulation, on lab in ospf, and the last simulation was about controling routing update with distribure list.

I found that the time was a bit short, because english is not my mother tongue, i speak french !. when i finish the last queston there were 7 seconds left, foooooo !!!!! just at time !!

I very happy because that is going to be my chrismas gift. I will start working on switching next week.

I have one question, how boson and testking manage to have the same question than official cisco test ??? hummm, whatever !!

good luck for you.

Not here to start an argument but I used Boson for CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCDP, and CCIE Written. I have never seen Boson questions appear on any of my exams. On a rare ocasion, I saw a question that was sort of like a test question, but that was rare. Unless something has changed recently, I find that hard to believe.

Hi Zaza230,
Congratulations on passing the routing exam...I am planning on taking the exam next week.

I was wondering which of the 3 Boson exam did you buy?

Also, any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Well done on passing the exam, I am taking it this week. I was just wondering what were involved in your simulators, I've heard the NAT simulator is not much fun! I have read my book several times and used the boson tests but any specific advice on what to revise would be grately recieved!

NAT - I also ran across a NAT sim while taking the BETA version of this exam and I thought it was just a BETA error but it appears they're sticking with it.

To be quite frank, NAT should be in the BCRAN exam. I have since studied for this exam and found that all training for the BCRAN exam contains NAT, while all training for the BSCI does NOT contain NAT.

Since this is a f*ck up on Cisco's part, IMHO, it is safe to discuss it outside the boundaries of any agreement you signed.

That being said, if youare going to take the BSCI exam, memorize how to setup NAT. Its really not difficult, even though the command structure typically leaves something to be desired.

hello,

Im sorry but I was on hollidays since two week ( exactely since a pass the routing exam), that's why I reply only now.

two persons ask me some questions about my preparation.

- I have used the old 640-503 cisco official study guide, I have downloaded a supplement on ISIS on ciscopress site. I have read this book i think a least 8 times.
For nat, I have read the chapter on the BCRAN book, I have also downloaded and read "the abc of ipv6" on cisco site, but they were no question about IPV6.

- the question on NAT was not very difficult, but it take a lot of times to read the question ( very long), it was about, how to NAT a mail server with on public ip address, and also how to nat all station on the LAN with a pool of adress.

Thanks zaza230, are there any other 'vital' revision area which you can think of?
