Just because you have a certification doesn't mean that you will automatically make a certian amount.

Also don't bielieve all the recruiting centers, they try to blow up the salary figures so that you will purchase the courses through them.

It lot depends on the location where you are, right now with my all these certs and a univ degree i am getting around 450$ a month after working my a$$ out,but accoring to my place its not a bad salary also experience counts a lot the only thing CCNP helped me was to get a job lot easier before hand being only a CCNA it want much worth it the bigger and more difficult the cert is the higher the pay is but place and experince counts a lot no spesific wage structure i think one can say.

Pakistan: Average annual income: US $420 (World Bank, 2001)

Neatherland: Average annual income: US $24,330 (World Bank, 2001)

USA: Average annual income: US $34,280 (World Bank, 2001)

these basic info is easy to find. bbc.com and I am sure there are more current figure but this should put things in perspective...

so what he is making relative to the average income would be 10x... meaning it would be 340K here and 240K here!1 (ok, this figure is not true becasue it gets very comple and not just a simple 10x, but it will do...) He is living quite well I am sure.

which in getting back to the original question... ccnp = zero... you dismiss the importance of experience, market condition, geographical area etc that others had mentioned... ccnp = 1 month of memorizing dumps... college degree = 4 years of cheating on finals... and college degree mean you start from the bottom anyway unless you interned... so how much DO you expect? There are very skilled, senior managers with ccna only, there are very skilled professional with no cert... and there are the ccnp certified but no experienced earning zip... or there are legit certified ccnp who is happy to get a foot in the door working as support 2 at some isp... you need to clarify and narrow your query... even among similar skilled, qualified employee sitting in the next cubicle there can easily be 10% difference in compensation.

italy: Average annual income: US $19,390 (World Bank, 2001

Mikop, Vizard.

If I understand this right, is Vizard the happiest of us all with his year income which he receive every month.

So my new goal is now to become like Vizard but in my country.

Anyway. I agree with most of you. But I don`t think a high certificationlevel is allways a reason to earn lot of money and to get fast a good job. I was also blind worked over 8 month to gain my mcse. Complete on my own and just out of books. It was damm hard because even the books were too expensive for me, and for my practical skills I went to my school over night and didi my labs on the schoolcomps. Anyway than I tried to find a job. Guess I didn`t found one. Because the most companies in Austria said "To overqualified we just need a simple system operator for 2 Printservers..... we are sorry we will call u if we need a mcse for our network" ANd the funyiest thing is, you can even say I want to work as a sysop. for the 2 Printserver and they will say also no. A manager told me this is the result of arogant professionals who always tell everybody that they are underpayed and the company where they are working is bad....
So I think you won`t earn a lot at the beginning. Maybe later when the company where you working at, know that you are a real professional.

But a lot of certifications can boost up your application and so maybe bring u on the top and give you a good chance to come into a company.
