Old Remote Access Exam

| All,
I was wondering... I passed the old BCRAN exam over a year ago. I am ready to pursue the CCNP track again and was curious to know if the old BCRAN exam still applied?
Any thoughts would SURE be appreciated!
Thanks again, Shannon | |

According to the above information from the Cisco site, if the exam you took was 640-505 or 640-605, then yes, you could continue (not start all over) the CCNP with the new exams.
But you've got to check when your CCNA expires, which is 3 years from the date you passed the exam.

It used to be that once you pass one of CCNP exams, you are also recertified for your CCNA. But according to the above info, this is NOW VALID ONLY WITH A 642-PREFIX EXAM. So, as all the 640-prefix CCNP exams are retiring on Sept 7, you will have to take the 642 prefix exam in order to finish the CCNP. But you'll need to take at least one of them before your CCNA expires, otherwise you will have to retake the CCNA.
I hope this is clear enough. |
