Guys, how do you enable cgmp on a IOS based switch? Boson says its as simple as typing "cgmp" on the interface. I would tend to believe "cgmp enable" though. Anyone know for sure? Thanks.

different switch platforms support either
cgmp or igmp.
cgmp snoops igmp requests and runs on lower-end switches that don't have the proper asic's to run igmp.
cgmp is their stopgap. igmp runs on 3550's
here is an example

cat 5000
#cgmp
set cgmp enable

3500 xl
cgmp is running by default
use either
cgmp
or
no cgmp

3550
igmp is enabled by default
you can use
ip igmp
