Im configuring a router at the main site to give dial-up access to a branch office. It will be using regular phone lines. I have a modem and router at each site. At the main site I must configure the line, the interface and the modem. But at the remote site do I have to configure the modem or not?

Of course do you still need to configure the modem on the remote site.

Try to visit the cisco.com and you will find more documents about this configuration.
