| Having just passed the CCNA, it's straight into the CCNP.
Any advice on the order in which to take the exams or which are the harder of the exams out of the following four:
607-604 Switching
607-605 Remote Access
607-606 Support
607-901 BSCI
Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated.

| I personally would do routing before switching. Actually, I did routing first, now I am doing the switching test. When I think about it, it helps to understand routing before going into the switching exam (for me anyway). Also, you will touch on some thing in the routing exam that will be on the switching exam, like Spanning Tree Protocol. Again, this is personal opinion, but I am glad that I took routing first now that I look back. | |

| I think most do BCSI first. And save Support for last because it covers some information from the other three. | |

| Take the blue pill....
There's not a "certain" order, really. But I guess your order depends on two things - your strengths and the time it will take you to prepare.
If you've got a really strong LAN background, then switching might be easier than you think, but if you've got a strong WAN background, then BCSI might be best. In either case, knock out the easier one first, so you can spend "more" time studying the "weaker" subjects.
As to the time to prepare, with Cisco changing the CCNP exams, if you took the current versions right away then they would only be accepted for a "certain" period of time (I'm not exactly sure what date that equals, tho).
I know it's probably not what you were hoping to hear, but I hope it helps, nonetheless...

| Well, I don't think that I'll be able to get all four exams completed by August 7th so I might opt for the new CCDA exam.
Then go for the CCNP.

| In my case, since I am more working on LAN and I have a couple of new Cisco Cat switches, I am going for the switching exam.
Damn thing.... Cisco has once again changed the exams.

| Lexy,
The CCNP tests will test your knowledge of design as well implementation. I think it would be a good idea to hit CCDA before you do CCNP (some people will definitely disagree with me on this one). I have read that some people found CCDA to be more difficult than some of the CCNP exams, but getting a good foundation in both tracks will definitely benefit you when they start testing you on both ends. I am working on BCRAN right now as my first CCNP test (I have the most material on that one). I'll let you know how it goes.

Yep. I wish I had taked the DA after NP it would have been much quicker as I would have learnt everything already. The exam hurts mentally due to all the jumping round of case studies - this may have changed.
As for the NP, do support last and the others in any order, I did Switching, Routing then BCRAN. If I had to do it again I would seriously think about routing first.
