Hi all, I have BCRAN exam left to do and then I am CCNP, wondering if anyone can tell me what is involved in this exam, i.e. How many q's, passmark and time allowed on exam.

Also I have heard that exam are being updated in June, can anyone confirm this.

Hi Johnny,

Any answer that gives specifics for an absolute number for # of qs, passmark, time allowed would IMHO be only relevant for that person (the one who has taken that *specific* BCRAN test).

If you want the ballpark values, the only authoritative guide is:
http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/10...ms/640-605.html

which at the moment reads:
Duration: 75 min (50-60 questions)

As for updates, here is what I think is the
authoritative source:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/learning... formation.html

HTH, and good luck!

Sorry, I think the URLs didn't get represented correctly. So here is the alternative:

http://www.cisco.com/certifications

Follow the link for CCNP.

Regarding the updates, go to the URL indicated above and follow the link on the left hand side titled "Certification Exam Information."

Thanks for this.

I think the q's and passmarks are generally the same and when you know the passmark it gives you an idea of how tough the exam will be.

It will definately have a simulation "q", carries a lot of weight.

Don't know what the sim will be, I know what it had been...as I failed it : (

I took BCRAN two weeks ago, and it had the most interactive questions I'd ever seen (drag-n-drop to fill in a command, pick the right command out of a list, type in the answer - do not abreviate, and configuring Frame Relay sim).

Know your IOS commands in and out!

I started studying for this over 6 months ago and had to put it down because of work. I currently have Cisco Press 640-505 books to study with. Are they current enough? Were there new features to 605 that I need to be aware of? Looking over the objectives I don't see anything too crazy. Maybe they just updated the style of the exam (to make it more interactive)? Any help you guys can give is much appreciated.
