| Hi, looking to sit CIT exam before end of April. Wondering how many questions and passmark? Also have no knowledge of Remote Access, could this be my downfall? | |

| I just passed it on Friday:
59 Q's
776 passing
Prob 25% of the questions related to Remote Access Exam criteria.
I'd recommend studing for that one first.
Also, there were two scenarios where you had to place the crosshairs on the right device - just make sure you click in the middle of the device - there's no indication that if any portion of the mark is off the picture that it's invalid. There's plent of room on the picture, so go for the center.

| Thanks for that. Company is paying for CCNP courses but I have been messed around with BCRAN course hence no knowledge. Next course date is May or July but due to commitments really need to pass before July.
Thanks for the info. | |

| Keep in mind, Cisco calls "Remote Access" any type of connectivity from a remote location, so Frame Relay, X.25, as well as ISDN and dial-up are included. If you have any hands-on experience with what I call WAN technologies, and only lack the experience with RAS (dial-up oriented), it might not be too much of a stretch.
For my CIT exam, the Remote Access questions related to troubleshooting Frame Relay, X.25, ISDN and PPP - the Sybex book for the 640-606 exam was a good tool for me.
Granted, I have quite a bit of experience troubleshooting Frame Relay, but the book's presentation of the "debug" outputs and "show" outputs were pretty helpful, as well as the flashcards available on the included CD-ROM.

| I passed the exam today.
Well, I followed the exam outline, and totally skipped Apple Talk.
Er.. 59 q, 776 passing score too.
Some topic /questions:
1. Tools to test cable break
2. Spanning Tree, VTP / Trunking
3. ISDN (remember the diagram)
4. Frame Relay (remember the diagram)
5. Connectivity to IPX.
6. LAN Connectivity.
Lots of show / debug question, in multiple choice & exhibit. I only used Cisco Press study guide. Found the Q&A section of the book VERY useful.

| Quick update to say I have just passed CIT exam with score of 893/1000
Only have BCRAN left and then I am a CCNP at last. Will need a course to get me back in to normal life after this.
Thanks to all who replied.
