This isnt turning out to be as easy as i thought! after getting a good score in switching, i scored a 820 in support. The exam ranged from very easy, to quite difficult.

One thing i will say about the support exam is its love of detail. Learn the book (cisco press) inside and out, including all the little bits and bobs its gives you.

Onto Routing this Monday, i expect the worse judging by other comments here!

I think the title bar should have been "Two down, infinity to go"

Theway the system is set up, you (we) will be testing for ever.

Yeah, you sure could argue that certification is nothing more than a cartel.

But i cannot deny that studying for my ccnp has taught me so much about networking that didnt know before, even if i do forget 80% of it 6 months down the line.

What lab do you have set up for your CCNP study?

I am thinking of adding to my own once I get past the CCNA and I am curious as to what equipment you are using, as I could do with a few pointers.

Well at the moment my lab is intended for ccie study, and while i have a few bits to add to it (such at voip), it is currently :

5x2600 Routers
1x3550 Switch
4x2600 Serial Modules
2x2600 ISDN Modules
1x2600 16xSerial Card
1xTelephone/ISDN PBX

Total cost at around £3200UK from ebay.

If you want a good CCNP lab i would go for:

2x2600 Routers
2x2950 Switches
2x2600 ISDN Modules
2x2600 Serial Modules
1xTelephone/ISDN PBX

Potentially you could do without the costly isdn pbx and the cards and just put in another 2 serial modules.

Youll need 2 2950 switches imo to practice vlan and trunking well and its an ios based switch.

There is a thread on the CCIE forum regarding labs, you should check it out.
