CCNA to Expire on to CCNP

| Hi,
I would like to ask if I need to renew my current CCNA status eventhough I will pass one of the CCNP exams. My CCNA will be expiring this year but I will be taking the switching exam this April.
Any idea?

the ccna only renews when u passed all the ccnp exams.

| i think if you don't pass your last ccnp
test before your ccna expires you'll have to retake ccna | |

| is there anybody here who knows the link in cisco regarding it? I will also try to refine my search and once I find it I will post it here.
