I have a Windows 2000 network with 1 Server and 3 workstations. They are all connected via SBC DSL line. I want to get a router that will work with the SBC DSL and I was looking into the 827 or 831. Am I correct that the 831 is just the updated 827 and if so will either of them work for this setup? Could you please offer any suggestions? I am just looking that I can use with the DSL line and also practice the IOS.

1401, 1407 or 1417 will work. You will need an external DSL modem for the 1401, but not the others.
