Is there a way we can redirect traffic traffic that is going to 10.20.1.20:80 to 10.5.1.10:17532 (some high end port) on a router.

We have a Catalyst 4006 with router blade connected to a 2524 which then is connected to WAN link back to our central locaion to an 7206. The users are on the 10.20... number and what they need to get to is at the central site at the 10.5.1.10:17532.

Thanks,

Tou

Port mapping (forwarding) comes to mind. Depending upon the IOS and the feature set.

use the technology called WCCP on your Router to your cache engines. It does the actions of the proxy server on the network. I think you can also use WCCP without the proprietery cache engines.

WCCP - Web Cache Control Protocol. It transparently redirects http requests from the intended server to a chache engine.

Also can try the IP policy route....?
