| Hey everyone!
I just wanted to say hi!
I just passed my CCNA today and I am eager to start the CCNP track!
I look forward to chatting with all and learning all I can.

| I am too, but we need the new books. And wait to see what is the format of the new exam.
So I estimate it will take at least 4-6 to start with the CCNP track.
I know that I can do another cert meanwhile, but don't know if I should start CCDA or CCSP | |

| It doesn't appear that Cisco changed the requirements as radically for the 642-801 BSCI exam as they did for the 640-801 CCNA exam, although I could be wrong. If you buy the older Sybex book for the 640-901 exam, and the Cisco Press BSCI book by Catherine Paquet, you should be well armed for the test. Go to the Cisco website and download the 76 page pdf on IPv6 and you should be all set. I can't give you the url since the Cisco site appears to be down at the moment. | |

| I recommend you, start studing for the Remote Access exam. In fact, it's quite easy and it's very close to the knowledge you earn studing for CCNA.
After that, try the Switching exam, Routing exam and finally, the troubleshooting exam.

| IMHO...my preferred CCNP path was Rotuing--> Switching-->Remote-->Support.
Use the Catherine Paquet Cisco press book for your Routing exam and I would suggest not to kill your time wating for the new 642-series books as the original/old Routing exam syllabus has not been modified much. |
