The first thing that strikes me is the difficulty of the BSCN book. Looks like the subject matter will take me a while to understand :>

Hi, Matt thanks for the heads up. Whats the difference ? Is there a new book i should have recieved ?

I've never taken it, I know it has ISIS and that on the ciscopress website you can download a free update.

As for the other changes, I'm not sure.

I believe a BSCI book has recently been released.

search for other previous posts also concerning ISIS. there were quite a number of posts regarding it when it was added, it may be useful to you.

note: the 2 chapters from ciscopress are about 100pages each, so that's 200 pages of supplemental material free. the sybex chapter I presume would be of same size... so 300 pages on ISIS. have fun.

you are right, CCIE Prof Dev Volume 1 and 2, by jeff doyle
These two books are like the bible of Routing.
everyone should have them.

In hindsight I wish I had read these books for my BSCN - they really are good. The link refers to vol 2, you'll also need vol 1.

If your still thinking of passing the lab you will need a very strong understanding of these two books - you may as well do it right first time round.
