| If you buy a switch that supports MLS, and you only have an external router, how do you benefit using MLS? Sounds to me like it still has to travel to the EXTERNAL router to be routed. How do you benefit with no internal RSM or NFFC? Sounds like it would only benefit if you had a INTERNAL RP. Anyone have any ideas? | |

| Only the first packet of the flow has to travel to the external router, not each packet, so the benefit is still significant.
