| Browsing cisco's siteand found that there are 2 Professional level qualifications:
CCNP and also CCIP.
Was thinking aobut doing CCIP after my CCNP but wanter to know from others if this is a recognised qualification in the world of networks. I cant see anybody asking for CCIPs on the jobe sites.
thanks | |

| It's a valued certification if who you're working for is dealing with media issues like QoS/multicasting.
cheers,

Is Qos and MPLS that popular?, please let me know.

| Nothing is sure these days. Everyone in IT knows this for a fact.

| NO IT WONT.
If you have proven experience along with it then you have a better chance....
BUT WITHOUT EXPERIENCE, no certification (maybe CCIE) will guarantee you a job. | |

| definitely as networks get bigger and companies deploy more complex networks Qos [Quality of Service] is going to be surely required. a word of advice take the exams because you are trying to build a long term career not necessarily for the short term benefits..quote: experience is always better than certs!!

| There are actually three professional level certs: CCNP (NETWORK PROF), CCIP (INTERNETWORK PROF)AND CCSP (SECURTITY PROF) | |

| About QoS and MPLS....
MPLS is a protocol used mostly on big ISP. I would raccomend GMPLS that deals with optical networks....something we need to deal with sooner or later. |
