| Hey, Anyone seen any books on the BSCI exam? Looking for something from CiscoPress but not seeing anything out there. If you know where to get a good book for studying, please let me know. | |

| If I understand correctly. All you need is something that will cover IS-IS. BSCN covers the rest. Routing TCP/IP vol. I covers IS-IS and is a great book on the rest of the IGPs as well.
It's a Cisco Press book to top it off.

| There is a book out there by Cisco:
IS-IS Network design solutions. ISBN:
1578702208
This would work with the existing BSCN book quite nicely.
Also, in my wanderings in Barnes and Noble stores I saw a Cisco Book called" CCNP Practical Studies: Routing " It had a small flavor of ISIS in it.
Cisco just published ( and still is publishing ) a boat-load of new books through the end of JAn 2003 - look for new titles. Me ? Sixty-Eighty bucks IS a bit high, I usually wait til' I see 'em on www.half.com or used on amazon. But thats tough with new books - ooh the dilemma.
To deal, I'll just go hang at Barnes and Noble for an hour and just pull one of the new titles off the shelf, grab some coffee and read -
Good luck !
PEACE!

| I've been told the Sybex book is okay for the exam. But as you want a Cisco Press book the BCSN plus the Sybex chapter on IS-IS will do the trick.
Good luck! | |

| I would suggest not to kill your time running for the new BSCI book. Just use your very same Ciscopress BSCN book by Catherine Paquet plus the IS-IS material downloaded from Cisco. Look for the postings I made on this forum on the IS-IS link at Cisco couple of week ago. |
