#640-603 Routing 2.0 Exam Retiring....

| Cisco has Announced today, the #640-603 Routing Exam 2.0 will be replaced by 640-901 BSCI -Building Scalable Cisco Internetworks Exam for CCNP and CCDP certifications. BSCI covers the same syllabus as the Routing exam did plus your IS-IS protocol.
Individuals registering for the Routing exam on or before September 13, 2002 will be able to take that exam through October 25, 2002.

| Thanks for this heads-up. I began studying this past week to take 603 on 9/20, then checked Cisco website last night and saw it was no longer there. Imagine MY surprise!! Site didn't have any explanation either....hmmm! I started scrambling to find IS-IS info. So I'm going to quickly register to take 603 exam...and relax, well sort of. Again...much thanks for the info! | |

| Has anything else changed besides the addition of the IS-IS protocol? If not, I might not even bother trying to find a new study guide.
So who's gonna be the one to take the first shot at BSCI??? | |

| good morning,
I think a few people have already taken BSCI
in place of BSCN as it's been around since (at least) the start of the year (and probably for some months before that...).
I vaguely recall passing BSCN in June of last year and someone then mentioned BSCI was available not long afterwards.

| If anyone was interested the requirements for CCDP do not show 640-603 but rather 640-901.

| Hello guys.... I'm back.. well im just sending this message to find out about the CCIP certification. Since the routing test has been out and I have passed my CCNP since february last year, I was wondering if the original routing test has been waived to the BSCI test. I have the material for the BSCI from training that I got from a friend but would like to know if it is waived from routing test, if so I could start working on security or multicast & qos. Please let me know thanks.. |
