don't expect to get a lot I can tell you that. I have seen resumes from CCIE asking for 60,000 to 70,000 with exp.

Good luck I am making crap with mine but I am just happy to have a job right now.

According to Microsoft $69,400. I got that from an earlier thread here at examnotes.net. However we all know this is a joke. They also say $60,600 for Network+, who are fooling? I don't even make close to that.

I would have to say it all depends on your experience and job exposure. I would expect around $35,000 starting.

CCNP pays 60K!! MCSE pays 45K +.... and all you have to do is take our PREP course for about 6 to 8 grands.
I am sorry guys, but experience counts nowdays. The once high and mighty CCIEs gets 60k now and that is seasoned/hardcore CCIEs. As for helpdesk where most of us got our start....I saw this on monster.com
/ Helpdesk--10 to 12 dollars a hour; MCSE; three years of experience required./ Guess what?? i applied for it because there is no IT jobs in houston and i am A+, ccnp,MCSA and i have a bachelors in MIS but with little experience.
These are the dog days for IT, especially in Houston.

i think i will go back to school and get a MBA instead.........

THE DOG DAYS

ofcourse when it gets to the extent of not being able to put food on the table, you know what to do..

Hi,

I guess the economy might affect some thing... but it still boils down to skills....i.e experience + Certs....

And from recent surveys, it looks like the more different certs you have the better...i.e a MCSE & A+ & ASE might probable earn more than a CCNP....

I guess multiple skills are now a necessary requiremnt.

I was making 62,000 with an associate in networking, and no ccna, a+, N+, or CCNP. Now my friends (113 OF THEM) NOR I can buy a job with a ccnp.
Get some experience in Oracle or wait it out. I expect to change job fields because this industry may bounce back after I retire!!
