Well here is the story
i have done my ccna recently .but i lack practical implementation.what i want to ask is that should i first try to get some practical implementation and then go for ccnp or i can do both at the same time.

Is it better that u should have some practical experience before u get into ccnp or i can just go ahead and get the ccnp and then look for practical implementation.

By practical implementation imean an internship or some work experience in a company where there are networks

hi,
i would suggest you have some experience dealing and handling with equipment first ..you can go and study hard for ccnp and pass the exam, but then i think it will be useless ..

least you can do is get your own router and play with it ...rather than totally depends from your textbook.

Well im not talking about passing the exams now .I can't give the ccnp exam until an year and a half cause im currently a graduate student and iwill pass the graduation after that period.

so i m only talking about the study.

if i attend ccnp course now. Then on the better side i would have 1&1/2 year in which i can practice and then after graduating i go and give the exams.

One more advantage is that nowadays im on summer vacations if i do the ccnp course, which will take 20 days now and then practice it gradually along with my graduation and then give the exams , wouldn't it be better .

u will forget everything in that long period. ccnp is way too deep and even the tiniest of details are important. when u start studying for ccnp, give up everything else coz its the concentration and continuity thats important. in my case i had to study almost everyday, atleast 30 mins if nothing.

if u have summer vacations, try to get some experience on the basis of ur ccna even if u have to work for free...u will go a long way!
