| Hoping to get input from this very knowledgable group? Have a relative large network environment and trying to archive data from Syslog Analysis- this however is an extremely large file...the backup created a 3.4 gig file for a 7day collection. My employer wishes to archive this data for posterity reasons and for generating reports of downtimes for different periods of time. I also have WHATS UP GOLD running on a box and it generates reports and archives this data @10th of space that syslog is. I guess I am hoping to get from this forum is some input on either product that I may have overlooked in determining a feesible approach to this situation. Thanks for any input. Pro or Con. |
