Hi,
has anybody taken the new switching exam, if yes, can you just post the simulation questions so that those of us that are preparing for the exam will know which area is cisco concentrating for the switching exam similation, Cheers, Musa salam

heh. perhaps you need to do some research on cisco site.

Question
When will the Professional level certifications include simulation questions?

Answer
On June 5, 2002 Cisco added simulation questions to Cisco Professional level certification exams and corresponding courses.

The new exams with simulations include BSCI 640-901, Routing 640-603 and Remote Access 640-605 for CCNP, CCDP, and CCIP certifications. The exams will feature Flash simulations along with "drag and drop" formatted questions to validate candidate skills. The Switching 640-604 and Support 640-606 exams have been refreshed as well but do not include simulations or "drag and drop" questions. These refreshed exams will more accurately reflect a candidate's knowledge and skills.

cisco cert/online support/instant answer.

but it really isn't hard to guess what possible simulation could be on the exam if they added...

This is pathetic. Im really getting tired of people coming in here and everywhere else and saying "can you give me the questions they ask?" or "whats on the exam?". This makes me SICK!

SurfinUSA, what do u think u are saying, if u know that u don't have anything upstairs to help, i sugest u keep mute rather than making blunders.
I want to believe that the essence of forum like this to people is to assist them in preparation for the exam and i believe that knowing the format of the question is part of preparation and even if u post the question u saw when u wrote urs, it is not certain that i will be asked the same set of quetions.
Thanks so much, Mr. Knowledge (Mr. Too Know)

These forums are here to assist you in understanding the concepts needed to write the exams - people aren't here to share questions and answers. If you had those, there would be no point in studying the material and that would be defeating the whole object of the certification.

If you have written a Cisco exam before - no matter how long ago, you will know the basic format of the questions.
If you have ever worked on a switch or a router before or studied the examples they give you in the books, then you already have an idea of what the simulations are going to be like. They aren't going to ask you to do some obscure configurations!

The people in this forum are definitely not selfish with their knowledge - you just need to ask the right questions!

We are all aiming for the same thing and are all more than willing to help out but if you are looking to cheat - you are in the wrong place.

Musasalam, You are right, I am better than that. I am better than that to come in and ask for the exact questions. BECAUSE IF YOU KNOW YOUR STUFF, THEN IT DOESNT MATTER HOW THEY ASK YOU ABOUT WHATEVER TOPIC! That is the key, you have to KNOW YOUR STUFF. If you know the topics, then you dont need the exact questions. If you DONT KNOW YOUR STUFF, THEN YOU DO NEED THE EXACT QUESTIONS, which makes you a papercert and in my opinion a worthless piece of crap that I will have to train when you get lucky and get hired.

I agree with SurfinUSA...

Musasalam, You should look into studying harder and gaining practical experience rather than taking the shortcut and trying to find out what questions are on the exam.

Once you have matured and realized this you'll understand that this is not only the right way but the better way to go. You don't want to look like a fool infront of your boss or your peers when they say "But your CCNP, you should know this.." and you'd reply "OH I got my CCNP because I got the answers from this forum...".

Think about it.
