| I have a cisco 1601 that does not suport bgp. I was looking at cisco 2501 router and it does not appear that they have an ios that supports bgp either. What would be the best route to go for getting the cheapest cisco router that supports bgp and has at leats one ethernet and two serial ports? Essentialy what is the best router with bgp, two serial ports, and one ethernet port to get? | |

| yes all 2500s support bgp, if you have the right ios. cisco uses 2501 in there lab. you just need about 16F and 16D.i believe you need the enterprise addition. i don't really know for sure. but you need a cco account to get an ios. not a guest account. | |

| go on cisco's website and click login. then click cancel. you will get an authentication failed screen. then on that screen click Register online. and you can go from there. | |

You need to have a SmartNet support contact associated with your ID. Some accounts associated with channel partners have IOS download capabiliyies as well. They don't just give IOS away.
