Dear all,

Recently I have purchased a 2nd hand 2501 router. There is a problem which made me feel very perplex:

When I start my 2501 router, everything seems normal except going through the following:

"System Configuration Dialog [Yes/No]"
I can't send either "y" or "n" key to the router, the router never response.

I am using HyperTerm in Win98. However, if I use other terminal emulator, it works fine but it costs me money.

Any one experience similar problem?

break the boot and see what you have. especially note the config-reg.

looks to me like its either unconfigured or not using its config but it SHOULD let you do the config dialog.

Download Hyper Terminal 6.3 from their website. It is free and I found it to work much better than the version that comes with Windows. Can't promise that will fix anything but its worth a try.
