To all who have assisted...Thank you!!
To all those who are striving for your CCNP...good luck!!
Passed CIT today!!!
Read, learn, know, live the Cisco Press Support book and also have experience in network support. This test was a beast, but do not fret. It is the day-to-day issues you deal with that are on this test. Know subnets, troubleshooting all protocols with the proper commands and relax!
Know the Cisco book!!! Small stuff that you may usually skip, is in the test.
Boson, Sybex and other reference material may give you a couple of questions, but 85% are Cisco press and 15% is actual knowledge of supporting a network. Good luck to all.
Now...one for you.....what next?? CCDA? CCDP? Anyone have any suggestions? MCSE??

Thank you for your insites.

CIT is my next trick!!!

Ha Ha!!

I am concentrating on the formulations of questions in the back of each chapter of the Cisco Press Book along with the summary sheets form Exam Cram.

I think that the sybex stuff is maybe a just good reference.

Any Sims? probably not, though interactive drop and place could have been there!!

Stormy, I think your next step depends upon you and your particular situation.

There is an interesting article in mcpmag at

if money drives you!

Even better a review of Cisco Certifications Cisco Certification Overview

Good Luck!!!

Keep us posted!!

I passed mine two weeks ago.
I thought it was the hardest thing I had ever seen..
I can't remember which one it was..but it asked you to type out the commands to do certain things..
I remembered most of them...but some just completely slipped my mind, luckily, cisco had an exhibit box with the commands, you couldn't select them or anything, but thankfully, I remembered what each one was, and got all of those right, must have been about 15 or 20 of them on the test..
plus, between each test, I got up, took a couple of minutes to relax outside by walking around, and I had 4 redbulls...

Hear Hear!!

Red Bulls are part of my ritual too. Its like an athlete's supersition. If it works don't change it. I have taken about 7 tests within the past year and red bulled each one.

sadly, I must admit...
I read a different book, the night before I took them..
I read the fourth harry potter book..
yes yes..I know..
I had to do something though...
all I had in my head was cisco or ms crap..
for a few short hours I had bedknobs and broomsticks flying in there..
and of course, some redbull
