| Does anyone know what the differences are in the new tests as opposed to the old ones? Basically what i want to know, is will the books for the old test cover enough info for the new tests, for example the 640-503 book for the 640-603 test.
Any info is greatly appreciated. | |

| If you are using CiscoPress books they should be fine as books on 603, 604, 605, 606 are not out yet. The only thing you would need in 603 that is not in the Routing book is IS-IS Routing Protocol. And for that you could find it on the Cisco web site or Cisco Press reference books.
Moreover I have replied to some question similar to this which you could find if you check on posts of a few weeks ago. | |

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your inquiry. The recent updates to the CCNP exams included
only a refresh of the test bank. No new objectives have been added, and so
the topics to be studied are the exact same as those for the 500 series
exams. Therefore, we do not have plans to update our books for this most
recent refresh, since the content is identical.
Note that we are working on and have released some hands-on self-study
products, including a full line of CCNP Practical Studies books (Routing is
already out), and a full line of Cisco Interactive Mentor titles.

| Hi,
there is no diference in the area of coverage and syllabus for the new exams. It is the old cisco press book you have used for your 640-50x routing and switching exams. One the new exams 640-60x you would find some of the simulation questions that are added new, otherwise it is the same old exam. | |
