Fill in Blank question with command exhibit

| Just wonder any of you sure what's the right way to Fill in the Blank with command exhibit in the CCNP 640-60x test.
I get several question like that, fill
in the blank with the correct command,
they provide a exhibit of a list of command,
and ask me to " fill in exactly as it
appear in the exhibit".
I just wonder how 'exact' it should be,
will that be a problem being too 'exact',
for example, the exhibit is:
1. Cisco>show ip route ospf
2. Cisco# interface serial 0
3......
If 1 is the right one, shall I fill
in:
' show ip route ospf ' or
' Cisco>show ip route ospf ' or
' 1. Cisco>show ip route ospf '
Since the computer will grade the test,
I suspect it's not smart enough to know
they are the same, they might even
think it's wrong if I put in more space.
I just wonder why Cisco don't just let us
fill in the number, it will be lot more
easier for us and the computer.
I finally fill in 'Cisco>show ip route ospf',
I am sure I know the correct command,
but I am not sure if the computer consider
my answer is right. I pass 640-603 with
92x, and get only 6x% on ospf single area,
8x% on routing principle and EIGRP, and
100% on all others. As any one knows,
OSPF single area should be the easiest
subject in routing, just feel it's not
likely I would make so many mistakes in
ospf single area, so I might have filled
in the wrong format in those questions.
Of cause, pass is pass, but I want to
make sure for the next tests.
Appreciate is any one can show some light. | |

| This is the main part of the question.
" fill in exactly as it appears in the exhibit".
When you are working on the router, you are supposed to be at the prompt
router> or router#
So any command should be typed in without the router name or the user/privilege mode symbol.
So the correct way would be just typing the command at the prompt. This means, in your example, the correct answer should be "show ip route ospf"
If you got lots of this type of questions in OSPF, Routing Principles and EIGRP, then that is the reason your percentage is so low in those sections.
The bottomline is you still did very good despite the above misunderstanding of what to type. Furthermore, you now know what to type if you get these kinds of questions again in the future, so you won't miss them.
Congrats on your pass but sorry for missing those easy questions. Good luck in your next test. |
