Is it possible to run ISL trunking over a 4000M Router with NP2E module installed or does it have to be a fast ethernet module

I guess my first question would be, "Why would you want to carry traffic for multiple VLAN's over a 10 MB interface?" But anyway, Fast Ethernet must be used for either ISL or dot1Q trunking.

I was going to be using it in a test lab.
I have seen oddities like that for a company I did a rollout with.
They would have 2600's or better that had a 10 Meg Bay Networks Hub and a 256k wan link

isl must be 100mb int running
capable switch or router code.

you can do 8021.q on a 10mb int

not for 4000 but an accurate description.
