| Is bsci the replacement for bscn?
Look at this link
http://cisco.com/warp/public/10/wwt...grams/ccnp.html
It looks like they may have just renamed the course or something. Also would one use the same books or is there new curriculum? Or am I just confusing myslef? Any feedback would be great. | |

| Yes it does. Thank You. I justed looked at the site two days ago and the recommended training was bscn and then yesterday it wa bsci. I thought it was a cached page or something. I wa deleting my temp files and everyting. but no matter what I could not get the darn bscn to come up. Now I know why | |

| This may sound dumb but it looks like the ccnp is now ccip(cc internetworking p). does that sound right? | |

| The BSCI (640-901) and the CCIP ciriculum has in place for over a year now.
There is only one course that is contained in both the CCN/DP tracks and the CCIP track that is complementary, that is now the BSCI course. (Up until a few weeks ago you couldn't use the BSCI course for the CCN/DP tracks.)
As we are aware the CCNP and CCDP requires
Routing
Switching
Remote
and either the Support or the CCDA/CID exams
There are no prerequisites for a CCIP
CCNP requires CCNA
CCDP requires CCNA and CCDA
The BSCI track requires passing only 3 exams:
Routing - BSCI (generally BSCN & IS-IS)
Multicast / QOS
and one in a series of 7 electives.
Cable
Content Networking
DSL Networks
METRO
MPLS
Packet Telephony
Security
So take 3 exams, acquire your cert. more then likely your boss won't know the difference for another year or so. Just don't try configuring one of my switches or remote connections.
