hi friends,
i just had a scare of my life.....when i was clickin the end exam button i thought i had failed....i am lucky to have survived...got 725, whereas pass is 706.
the exam has a new look, or u wud say "face lift"
my simulated question was frame-relay to set up the lmi type as ansi....i wasnt sure if there was more to that anything which wasnt mentioned in the instructions. i put the encapsulation frame-relay and the serial int. ip add and opened it.
b4 my exam i concentrated a lot on isdn, framerelay and x25 but in the exam there is lots of aaa and modem config and nat
my advice dont leave anything out......they can ask even the minute details. the person who set up my exam told me that majority of the people who have taken the new tests have failed....but there is nothing to fear if u know your stuff.....know ur stuff and its easy !!!

Good job!

I have one question for simulation question. Will they provide you the instruction like step1: Assign IP address and subnet mask for Serial0. Step:2 Open the interface.

Or they will just give you a scenario and you work on your own?
At least if the simulation question will give you instruction on what to configure first, then it would be a lot easier.

725 was close. Way to go! A pass is a pass. Now you won't have to face it again. Go onwards!

No. What you describe sounds like the academy esims for the CCNA. Although the real sims LOOK kinda like those they will just tell you a goal, like: Here is your network [diagram] set up so that A can dial B. Here is the spid and password to use. Think about it. In a job, no one is gonna predigest it for you because that's what YOU'RE suppose to know.

Congrats Javed!

Here are the commands to enable FR and ansi.

interface s0
ip address 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0
encapsulation frame-relay
frame-relay lmi-type ansi
^Z

Thanks akarklins! I edited it now!

Wouldn't that be "frame-relay" vs (framerelay) and "exit" (vs end)?
