| Welcome!
Everything seems to point to no major change other than the simulations being added to the exams. The objectives have remained the same.
I would suggest doing a search of the previous posts regarding the exams for any other insight. There have been a few folks that have passed in the recent weeks.

| Yea, the moderator has just explained the big difference btw the old exams and the new exams. It is just the simulation stuff that is added.
The scheme and outline is still the same thing, and based on people's view, the simulation should be a very easy task to do.
It is really good meeting a Nigerian on this forum. Take crae of urself. | |

| Well,
The routing course has been renamed BSCI and IS-IS routing protocol has been added to it.
However as you have already passed that, then no need to worry because all the outlines of the remaining courses are the same, except the simulations that you would get on the exam.
About the 606, don't overlook AppleTalk, as a member just took it and got questions about it. But he did well on the other sections so he passed.
So far I'm not sure if anybody who has taken the 603 got questions on IS-IS.
So could we hear from people who have taken the BSCI whether or not they got questions on IS-IS.
Thanks and Good Luck. | |

| Sukuvi,
Yes, when i took new BSCI (after 4 days it started with new simulation and IS-IS), there were about 4 to 5 questions about IS-IS ..but the question quite simple by asking easy and basic about IS-IS ...
I went for official BSCI class and got Cisco book ..the materials for IS-IS is alot!! about 100 pages ..
if you really understand about other routing protocols, link-state and distance vector and how it works ..you shouldn't have ay problem to understand IS-IS ..but the initial topic quite confuising when it mentioned about services (connectionless and oriented) which i think unique criteria for is-is ..
do keep in touch ..
