| Hi all,
Do anyone have experience to setup layer 2 mpls using vlan, and also, how to connect internet user with ipsec session to MPLS network? please help to provide any reference materials, thanks. | |

| I think you may have two technologies confused.
A user will make an IPSec connection to a network using MPLS just like any other IPSec connection. IPSec is all running at layer 3, MPLS at layer 2. The MPLS VPNs one hears about are totally unrelated to IPSec, if that's the source of confusion.
MPLS doesn't really have anything to do with VLANs since VLANs operate on LAN segments (Ethernet, Token, Fddi) and MPLS operates within a providers network.
I'm not strong with MPLS, and I may have misunderstood your question. If this didn't really address your question, could you explain a little more what you're trying to do?

| Actually, I am asking 2 Qs.
1. There are layer 2 and layer 3 mpls, I know how to configure
layer 3 mpls, but how to configure layer 2 mpls, I want to know?
2. what is the equipment/method commonly used in access point from internet to mpls network?
Thanks for your reply |
