| Hi,
I am using this forum as reference for my studying since almost 2 months, so I thought I might put down my 5 cents
I was trying some simple OSPF commands in my routers (I have 3 E-bay routers ) named gino, pino, nino.
I thought it might be useful logging my session, so here you can find a file with two separate logging sessions:
1) ospf_flap_logging_gino.txt
I turned on the debug on router gino (debug ip ospf events) and removed the previous ospf configuration, in order to reinitialize the ospf status.
Putting back the configuration (saved into a buffer), the logging commands show the sequence of events and the changing status from Down to Full.
2) topology_logging.txt
Here I issued the commands:
- sh ip ospf database
- sh ip route
on all my 3 routers (gino, pino, nino).
I think it might be an useful exercice trying to write down the topology of my little network simply looking at the information listed in this log file.
Hope it can be helpful,

| Thanks Andrea,
This is a very helpful log watching the link status process from down to full, especially for forum members who can't afford routers to play with and see this process happen live.
Thanks for posting the log. |
