| here is my take on the exam.
tough, fair, and fun.
it make you think.
I agree mostly with muckfish's assessment of the exam except the vagueness of some question.
I thought these questions were excellent. make you think about the whole situation beyond *oh to troubleshoot layer 3 problem, use xyz* but understand it... After all, to troubleshoot a network, you need to understand it beyond the simple do x when y happen.
The exam is light in technical detail, as these were mostly covered in the previous 3 tests, but you really have to look at it from a different perspective, beyond simple memorization of usage.
I would say study everything in the book, even tho there are definite sections in my exam that are light, a difference in 2 questiosn in mine and 5 questions in yours can make a difference.
books I used.
CIT/cisco press (boring read, skimmed through a lot of stuff, didn't like the format.
CCNP:support/cisco press (good book, cover the subjects well. Read it and understand it.)
support: exam cram/coriolis (i puss out and order it last week, arrived on saturday, read through it in 1 day and felt this is a good book. I just wanted to read something from another author's perspective.)
and yes I did pass it | |
