| I took the New Support Exam today. I was told at the testing center that this was the only Exam from the New series that they could give (no simulations)... Even though the PC did freeze on me once, but all was OK. No I did NOT Pass!!! Back to the books.. At least NOW I know what to expect from the NEW Exam.... I will retake it next week..
What was covered?? You really have to know the material. The exam does make you think about the problem... I will re-read my books this week... Sorry... that is all I can say...
Good Luck | |

| Work with Boson test 1-2-3 and try to score al lest 80%.At that moment you are ready for CIT. | |

| I can tell you...passed Support (CIT 640-606) yesterday.
If you study and read the Cisco Press Cert Library book all the way thru, you will cover the material. YOU CANT SKIP CHAPTERS FOR THIS EXAM.
Obviously IP is the primary routed protocol, but there are other protocols (as there is in the book)...but I think you'll figure out where the emphasis is.
Bear in mind CIT changes focus...it covers troubleshooting on WANs as well as LAN's...ie. comprehensively troubleshooting network connectivity (these are stated in the cisco exam objectives).
Do not consider sitting exam till you have read the book at least twice and done the CD-ROM questions and can answer the written quetions in the end of each chapter.

| Michael,
Will you be trying for another cert or taking it easy now?
For others. I read the Cisco Press & Sybex books for each of the CCNP exams, quite a bit of overkill I know, but highly recommended. Also the knowledege accumulated is probably worth more then the time spent.
