Hi all,

Took the new 640-606 exam yesterday and passed. Thought I'd share my thoughts ...

1. Exam was more difficult than expected
2. 57 Questions, Passing mark 776
3. About 2-3 drag and drop questions
4. I had only one AppleTalk question which was a complete anticlimax
5. Had a fair share of direct questions which kinda explains why I passed
6. It was pretty difficult for me to choose the correct answers for some questions. I mostly used CiscoPress and the questions presented in the book were far more straight forward
To those who are going to take the exam soon: good luck to you....

Congratulation for your pass and thank you for your feedback.
Have a question...hope you can answer it. Do you think in this new test Cisco compliceted our lives little bit?
I was supposed to take this test (my last for CCNP)yesterday but I preffered to wait one more week since with the 606 I had the feeling I was not still ready.
Thanks

It really depends on how much you have covered. I read the Support 2.0 guide quite thoroughly before having a go. If you are currently reading that book, be warned that the some questions in the exam can be complicated (i.e. vague) and not be as easy as the questions in the book. The major problem I had was choosing the 'best' answer. Must have been the lack of sleep

Well, I think that you should not let this exam intimidate you. If you feel that you are ready, then by all means take the exam. I can confirm that the course outline in CCO is consistent with what was found in the exam. About 70% of the material are from 503, 504 and 505.

The usual story with Cisco is if you know the stuff, you will pass. Good luck!
