hi

Passed with 800 odd...

Just thought Id share some non-specific info...

The Remote Access is pretty much as per the Cisco Press book, but does touch upon a couple of other things...that the Sybex CCNP Exam Notes covers...

Both books have about 20 errors in them...which really annoys me

The exam was in a way strange for me...
got 100% in 6 topics including Queuing, NAT, AAA and others...

But the exam is most certainly weighted toward 4 odd access methods and really probes you on those...so know them well...

lots of choose the command questions...

Hello,

well done!

Just the CIT left? It's the easiest of them all, a review of the previous three subjects. The book has some great stuff from chapter three onwards. You can use the information on a daily basis while doing your job.

Thanks for that...refreshing to hear...

Chapters 1 and 2 are a bit disturbing for Cisco content...yuck!

So this exam actually has Appletalk and IPX in it?

I am booked to take the test next Monday...on the 4 odd access, is that FR, ISDN, X25 and DDR? Any other vague info that you could spill, please do.
Thank you and congrats!!

yup youre on the right track with that...

i never could figure out difference between ddr and isdn...i guess ddr relies on use of an access list to specify interesting traffic and therefore trigger dialling...

i actually got 14 different topics...async connections and pap/chap would be worth revising too

you wont pass if you just concentrate on the 4 core access methods...those are the hard questions so you need to know the other topics to pick up the easy marks

if you have worked thru the chapters in the cisco press book, you'll be right...

good luck
