| is it possible to connect two routers back to back using a RJ-48 cable. each router have one wic-1t-mft. I would like to know if it's possible to connect them like when we use a DCE/DTE cable on serial port.
I would like to simulate a G.703 line between the two routers.
any suggestion ?
thank a lot in advance | |

Cross pins 1-2 with pins 4-5, and make sure one end supplies clocking. For a 56k, I believe you'd cross 1-2 with 7-8.

| Thanks for the information. There is another interesting link at cisco that tells you how to make use of your AUX ports to connect 2 routers back to back.
Clcik here (CCO login needed):

| I tried configuring AUX back to back using the link below, but it didn't work for me.
Has any one got it to work?

| I have configured this many times before. Let me know what problems you are having and I will try and help. I use these to have additional interfaces in my lab.
If I get a chance I will post configs later.

| I cut paste the config on to my interface.
I always get "noDSR" in my show out put.
I use both DB-25 to rj-45 roll over and depending on the router rj-45 to rj-45 roll over.
I'll try again and post the sh out put. |
