| Hi!
I am running a video conf. system between two sites connected by cisco routers.
How can I set up QOS on the routers for the IP stations and each end? | |

| That's an extremely broad question. What sort of scenarios are you looking at? Priority queueing? Class-based weighted fair queueing? DSCP? 802.1p CoS? You can approach this with a variety of tools provided in IOS, many of which go together very nicely. Some of these may be wholly unnecessary on your network, others may be the only thing you need. There is no one size fits all solution to this, I believe. What's your situation and what are your potential problems. Start there and maybe we can lend some help.

| First check if the service provider offers any form of QoS. It's pointless if you implement QoS within your domain only to have it treated as best-effort traffic on the SP's network.
Also remember that QoS will come into play only if you have a congested link. If you have a pipe that's fat enough, QoS is not necessary at all.
If you need QoS, MadChef's pointers are really good starting points. I'll add that you want to first investigate your traffic characteristics/needs in terms of reserved bandwidth required, delay, jitter, average packet size, peak time and type of protocols used.
With this info, you'll be in a better position to decide what kind of QoS to implement.
