In answer to the switch type. You can trunk on all ports on the Cat3500 series, and as the 10/100 are auto sensing you can use them manually setting the speed and duplex to 10/half.

You can certainly apply the settings but with out a router I cant say if it works.

I have heard you can use a Cat1900 with enterprise software.

Has anyone succuessfully set-up trunking on the 2500s yet, I hope so as I cant afford a 2621 !
