I have been asked my openion. A company has 2600 router at Green Bay WI and Houston TX facilities. Houston can ping and telnet Green Bay and vice versa. Everything works except GB router is not allow any Show command. IOS has be reloaded on both router ver12.2 in case maybe image got corrupted. One can go in cofig mode and do all other functions remotely or locally except when one likes to see some info via Show Command it does not work.

Routers are connected via Frame Relay via 5500 Atlus CSU/DSU using some IP+ (which I have no idea what is they meant by) .

any idea why show command is not working and what can be done?

What priviliege level access do you have??

Possibly your en password doesn't give you level 15 and all show commands have been assigned this level (or a level higher than yours), though obviously somebody would have to do this intentionally!

show priv tells you I think.

I thought IOS was screwed up. IOS has been reloaded twice. Has tried Ver 11.0 and 12.2. Has full prevailages. Able to do other functions but only Show does not wnt to work with any string on Router# Mode. I am thinking pretty much its a problem with Firmware or hardware. Time to get refund from CISCO

I got more information from the IT manager.

He told me that the
mode is set correctly but he told me that the size of the package being
sent shuts down the system. If he does a show command with less than
200 bytes, all runs smooth. If over 200 it times out. If this helps at
all let me know please.

I do not understand why the packet size matter and what approach I should do to resolve the issue.
