I was talking to a CCIE the other day who informed you could configure InterVLAN routing in a CISCO 2500 series router if you have the correct IOS and enough RAM & Flash.

Can anyone confirm this, or has anyone done this as yet ?

I checked on on:
http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/cc...78_pp.htm#16764

and in the feature set for IOS v12.1 there appears to be support for 802.1q over ethernet.

If anyone out there has a 2500 series router with IOS v12.1 please try this on let me know.

Why doubt them??

Yes it's true - You need IP plus for it to work.
