| OK i've just started my journey into the realm of the CCNP after finishing my CCNA-607.
What i really want to know is do i have enough to get me through it equipment wise.
I have 2 2503 routers, Routersim 3, Cisco BCRAN, BCMSN and O'reilly IP routing books.
Have i got enough??? Advise please | |

| I would get one more router doesn't have to be an 2500 as long as it has a serial so you have three and you can do frame-relay switching. For the switching test I used the Switching CIM really helped. See if you cna find it on ebay doen't really think it should be 150. Maybe you can find it in the bargin bin at comp USA I see those things there all the time.
Good luck | |

| Token Ring MAU(8 ports)
Ethernet Hub(C1900 12 10M ports)
Cisco 2511( 1 eth, 2 serial ,16 async)
Cisco 2513( 1 ethernet, 1 token ring, 2 serial)
Cisco 2503( 1 ethernet, 1 bri, 2 serial)
Cisco 4500( 2 ethernet, 4 serial*2)
Catalyst 5002 (1supervisor engine II, 12 port 10/100 ethernet module)
ISDN BRI Emulator (2 port S/T interface)
RJ 45 Patch Panel ( 16 ports)
Serial Patch Panel ( 48 ports)
RJ 45 Cable
Serial Patch Panel Cable
Token Ring is not needed for CCNP but it is good to know the theory. BRI emulator is invaluable in terms of REMOTE. Unless you have hands on experience with multiple ISDN installations, I highly recommend some kind of ISDN emulator. The 5002 is helpful when it comes to SWITCHING. I know this sounds pricey but this lab set-up will also transition well for CCIE - you may want to check ebay for some good deals on equipment.
You may also want to look at:

Also http://www.gettlabs.com provides some free rack time for intermediate labs - limited equipment - but it can give some experience without a great deal of investment. |
