Hey everyone,

I have Call manager set up and two ip phone and one fxo wic for a 2600. I am trying to set the 2600 as the gateway for call manger so that the ip phones can make normal calls over the pots lines. Any input would be appreciated.

hi,

i've been working with cisco callmanager for almost 7 months i can help you but i dont understand your question!

on router (something like that!!!)

!
voice-port 0/0
connection plar 7000
!
voice-port 0/1
connection plar 7010
!
dial-peer voice 11 voip
destination-pattern 70..
codec g711ulaw
fax-rate voice bytes 100
session target ipv4:100.100.1.2
!
dial-peer voice 1 pots
destination-pattern 0
port 0/0
!
dial-peer voice 2 pots
destination-pattern 0
port 0/1

with the destination-pattern 0 this for the dial tone, you must configure on CCM almost the same
configure router pattern o! and dont forget the Discard Digits

hpe this can helps!!!!

That what I'm looking for to be able to make normal analog calls with the two IP phones. I have the 2600 with the fxo wic. I was wondering how to set up the gateway. Is it an h323 gateway, mgcp gateway. How do I get call manager to see the gateway. I know its asking a lot but I would love to get it working for my boss.

Thanks

----Adding the gateway into the Call Manger’s database

Click “Device” > “Add New Device” > Choose “Gateway” Under the scroll down menu > Choose “H.323 Gateway” for the field [Gateway Type] > put the IP address of the gateway in the field [Device Name]

----Adding the route for the Gateway

Click “Route Plan” > Route Pattern > Click “Add a New Route Plan” in the top right > Under [Route Pattern] field put in the destination prefix you wish to dial. 3XXX means any string starting with 3 and having 3 more numbers following it > Under [Gateway/Route List] field choose the gateway that you created earlier.

Should be able to go back and forth between the IP and analog phones now...

Thanks for the help,

I am working on creating a pilot for a company right now let me know if this sounds right. We are looking to adding fxs ports to all locations so all between store calls will go over the frame. I don't know what to use a the headquarters yet. They are not lookin to add ip phones any time soon so I'm assuming I don't need call manager. Any recomendations.

Please list the steps you used to configure the IPphone in Call Manager. I don't remember of the top of my head the exact steps. Most configuration should be done in Call Manager. The only config that is needed by the phone is info on how to get to the call manager. Wierd how you can call out but the phone will not ring in???

I'm talking like how to make call manager recoginze the pattern of the pots line 5555555 and convert it to our ip phones.
